It's Time To Celebrate (PURIM)
The "Feast of PURIM" is a Jewish holiday in celebration of the deliverance of the Jews as recorded in the book of Esther. In Esther, Haman, prime minister of King Ahasuerus, is insulted by the Jewish leader Mordecai, who refused to bow to Haman. Haman convinces the King that all Jews are rebellious and must be destroyed. Isn't it sad that others have to suffer because one person despises another person and because that person cannot control or manipulate them and they want to hurt them? A "genocide" arose: (the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethic group or nation). Haman set the date of this event by using lots (votes).
Unknowing to Haman, Ahasuerus's queen, Esther, a Jew and Mordecai's Niece, appeals to the King for her people's lives. The king cannot revoke the decree to attack the Jews, but he issues a NEW DECREE allowing the Jews to defend themselves. God can make a NEW DECREE when one has already been set. He is The King of All Kings. And what the devil has set up to destroy you based on an evil persons decree or an established law, God will set a "NEW DECREE" a "NEW LAW" on your behalf. GLORY!!!
As a result, Haman and his family are executed , and the Jews kill 75,000 would-be attackers. To memorialize the victory, Mordecai institutes the "Feast of PURIM" to be celebrated every year and this celebration was "GOD INTERVENES, SAVES & DELIVERS HIS PEOPLE.!
During The "Feast of PURIM", Gifts are given, charity to the poor is given, and A big meal is served . You know we all love to eat! (LOL) .
At PURIM, May you rejoice in the God who intervenes, saves. and delivers.
